About the event
This workshop will be ideal for those who have never done any map and compass work at all, and those who have, but maybe need a bit of a refresher! If you are reluctant to explore more of the countryside due to a lack of navigation confidence, then this day is for you! Learn the basics and gain map, compass, and contour confidence.
Let's get together as woman and boost our skills to be able to 'get out there' like the men do!
The morning will be inside, then a packed lunch, then it's off outside on the footpaths to try out some practical skills.
I will ask you to bring an OS Explorer map OL13, a compass & a sense of humour!
There is no test at the end! Its about having a go and learning what you can.
