About the event
Come join us for an adventure on foot from Dorstone village in the Golden Valley up to a secret small mountain on a circular 6-mile route. Once at the top, we should have nearly 360 views of the Wye Valley & the Black Mountains.
We will then be treated to a fantastical tale by Daniel about the tale of King Herla, one of the most fantastical medieval legends. Telling of a faerie encounter that ends on the banks of the river Wye in good old Herefordshire.
has been a professional storyteller since 1989. He has traveled the world, collecting and telling traditional stories. He has a huge repertoire, from timeless Greek myths and thrilling adventures to awful jokes. He has given the Opening Address at the Sydney Writers Festival, won awards for his books, and was recently awarded The Hay Festival Medal.Daniel Morden
