About the event

A professionally guided 14 mile linear walk from Knighton to Kington using the famous Offas Dyke long-diatance path, (including transport from Kington to the start at Knighton in the morning).

Offa’s Dyke Path is a 177 mile (285 Km) long walking trail. It is named after the spectacular Dyke King Offa ordered to be constructed in the 8th century, probably to divide his Kingdom of Mercia from rival kingdoms in what is now Wales. We are only walking 14 miles of it, but even so, it's worth doing, as on a good day this section between Knighton & Kington gives far-reaching views from it's rolling hills and beautiful valleys.

There is nothing like a linear walk, a chance to experience the feeling of walking back along such an ancient route hopefully will be something to remember & a real achievement.

The price of the walk includes a taxi transfer from Kington at the start of the day to Knighton where we will start to walk.

This walk is hilly, using lanes, farmland & healthland. There are no mountains though, so definatley doable!

(If you are unsure if you are capable of doing this walk, please do make contact with Sarah, especially if you have walked with us before, and she will be able to advise you).
