About the event
A professionally guided walk roughly 4.5 miles in lenght starting & finishing at the stunning location of Llanthony Priory, a 900 year old remote ruin , locked away in a dramatic location in the Vale of Ewyas beneath the brooding borderland Black Mountains that rise abruptly from this evocative place, still radiating that spirit of isolation and contemplation. Here at the end of our walk, you will be free to vexplore & perhaps get a cake or a pint in the piory cellar cafe/bar!
At this time of year the bluebells should be out under the woodland we walk through on the first half of our walk, and then it's down along the valley floor through beautiful fields, with the backdrop of the high-sided slopes of the mountains all around.
We always walk at a steady pace with plenty of time for looking at views, lunch and chatting. This will be nothing an average fitness level shouldnt be able to handle.Â
No mountains, just ups & downs along the valley contours. Lots to see and enjoy on this one.Â
