About the event
Some hills giving spectacular views of the coastline, leading to an amazing area with dunes made of shells, salt marshes, glorious beaches, most of which lies in a nature reserve which is a SSSI, (Site of scientific special interest). There are plants and animals here that are very rare & special, with the possibility to spot gems of nature everywhere.
A walk which is too good to miss with so much to see! Soak up the amazing scenery and breath in the fresh sea air.
We walk at a steady pace as there is no need to rush this walk. We will stop for a coffee/drink break & also a packed lunch break too. The hills are doable, with nothing a person with an average fitness ability couldn't handle. No one gets left behind, and everyone is assisted over stiles and any tricky terrain.
We will start the walk parking at the bottom of the moor which is above the village of Llangennith, finishing around 4.30-5pm. We will then end things by having a pub meal at the King's Head together in the village before returning home, (meal cost not included).
There is the opportunity to go in convoy starting from Hay-on-Wye leaving at 9am, or by meeting us there at the start point., (it would be good to share lifts for this walk, as there is limited parking & it will save on fuel etc.)
