This short, friendly 4-mile circular walk begins and ends in the heart of Hay-on-Wye and is ideal for those who are new to countryside walking or feel unsure about navigating routes alone. Whether you're local and keen to explore your surroundings, or simply looking for a gentle introduction to guided walking, this route is designed to build confidence and connection at a comfortable, relaxed pace.

Led by a professional walking guide who understands the barriers people often face—be it fitness, mobility, or uncertainty with maps—you’ll be supported every step of the way. We'll pause often for water, rest, views, and conversation, and take any slopes slowly and steadily. Spring brings drier paths and easier terrain, making this the perfect time to get started.

The route visits the historic Cusop Church, where the ‘King of Hay’ Richard Booth is buried, before heading through open fields with wonderful views over Hay. We'll…
