Step back in time on this 5-mile circular walk starting at Bacton Church, a hidden gem steeped in history and adorned with fascinating treasures. From the internationally renowned Bacton Altar Cloth—believed to be the only surviving piece of clothing worn by Queen Elizabeth I—to the rare military ribbon carvings from World War I, this church is a must-see for history enthusiasts.

After exploring Bacton, we’ll journey through peaceful meadows, lanes, and fields, gradually climbing to the remote St. Margaret's Church. As you walk, enjoy the gentle rhythm of the countryside and be immersed in the beauty of these two churches. St. Margaret’s, with its rare surviving rood screen and stunning panoramic views, offers a perfect spot for reflection.
