Guided Walking Weekend Breaks Shropshire/Powys

Whats included:

* Bed & breakfast in well kept rooms with ensuites located in a quiet annex, privately accessed by steps leading up from our beer garden. There is hearty cooked breakfast on offer, as well as cereals, fresh fruit, and juice in the morning.

* 2 Professionally guided walks; Saturday & Sunday. A circular route from the accomodation on Saturday, & a circular route after a 40 minutes drive up to Stiper stones on Sunday, which will include a pub meal stop at lunchtime, (meal cost not included).

* A welcome by your Walk leader Sarah Price on Friday evening, joining in with a pub meal booked at 7pm, (meal cost not included)

 

Location:

Nestled in the beautiful Teme Valley the Castle Inn lies on the border of Powys in Wales and Shropshire in England. A stunning stone viaduct lies at the heart of the village and is only a short distance from Offa’s Dyke and Glyndwr’s Way.

Friday

Check in from 6pm

Saturday

10.30am Day's guided walk circular from accomodation over beautiful rolling hills with spectacular views in all directions, up onto part of the famous Offas Dyke long distance path. (roughly 11 miles with cafe stop halfway).

A challenging route, but nothing we can't manage togther, with plenty of time to stop, admire the views, & catch your breath, no 'route-marching' allowed!

Sunday

After a hearty breakfast, we check out & drive up to Stiper Stones visitor centre, (roughly 40 minutes drive, but absolutely worth it!).

We then do a circular walk from the Bog visitor centre along the moorland to Stiperstones village to have lunch at a great little pub there, then its up through a very small and steep valley onto the glorious ridge that has the famous Stipper Stones on the top! We finish around 4.30 pm.
