A moderately challenging route, but nothing we can't manage together, with plenty of time to stop, admire the views, & catch your breath, no 'route-marching' allowed! We will be stopping somewhere beautiful along the way for our packed lunches which are provided.

On returning to our accommodation, time to freshen up & then head out again later with our torches along the canal tow path to find the local pub for supper, which is only a mile or so away.

(Table booked, but cost of meals not included

Sunday

After a hearty breakfast, check out at 10am & we then head out again walking along the canal in the other direction eventually stopping in Brecon town to spend a while & have lunch in a cafe or pub.

After this Sarah will guide you across the Usk river and up hill using lanes and footpaths to gain spectacular views of the highest peaks in the National Park. Crossing streams on footbridges, walking through small wooded dingles, and visiting a tiny church, we amble our way back to finish around 5pm at our accommodation.

Again, this route is of a moderate grade and although an all-day walk at 9.5 miles, because we take things at a steady easy pace, most people will be able to manage well.

Sarah is an expert in managing walking groups and there will be assistance over stiles or any tricky terrain, with no one being always left at the back.
